The Scoop.

The good news is, I am alive.
I haven't blogged in sometime but life has just been cray cray!!

So here's to catch you up:

Work
Has thankfully been steady.
November and December ALWAYS make me nervous,
people aren't focused on my industry as much,
and more on gifts, family and fun. (as they should be)
But sometimes this does worry me.
But, today is November 30, and I've hit my numbers!
Thankful to God for that one!!
and a couple angels too, who sent me some business!!

Thanksgiving
WAS GREAT!!
I got to see all the fam..
Had tooo many drinks, even more food and lots of laughs!!
*Which has motivated me to workout every day this week*
(insert patting myself on the back)
I also took this dandy while home.

Yes, this is really from my Dad's back porch.
Now you know why I get homesick every now and then.
It was so warm!
We sat on the back porch and had happy hour as soon as we got there!!
I also made it to moms after partying to hard with this pretty girl!
I thought this was the best picture out of 10.
Guess my vision was already blurry. haha!!
After getting to moms, I got to cuddle with my two favorite pups.
Yorkie Love!!
All in all, it was a great Thanksgiving!!
Not to mention I had spent the last 3 weekends with my mom,
and we didn't kill each other!!
I actually miss her already this weekend!!

Personal
Well first things first..
I got frisky and decided I needed a change!!
I needed to cleanse my self of somethings and some people.
So I did!
I have taken down photos, cleaned carpets and ...
changed my hair!!
Nothing crazy, just a little sassy-ness added.
I decided to go ombre'
Which I won't lie.. I LOVE!
I seriously love it slightly curled, straight, pulled up whatever.
It's always a little sassy.
This picture also doesn't show you the full length of it.
She cut the minimal off but thinned it and gave me a couple shorter bangs in the front.
I couldn't love it more.
Lex Ladies, if your interested:
go check out Ainslie Walton @ Darrell's Hair Salon.
She's fair priced, easy to work with, and I have NEVER been disappointed.

I also decided to put my Christmas Tree up.
Thankfully, Whitney came over and helped.
I think putting up a tree alone, is just sad!
Here is my finished product:

I'm one of those people who, lay around and stare at it. I must admit!

I also have been obsessed with sayings and e cards lately.
If you follow me on instagram (meggie_1002) you have seen some of these.
If not, you will enjoy!!

Funny Workplace Ecard: I work so I can afford the amount of alcohol required to continue going to work.

Love all these!!!
Sorry about all the single ones,
but you have to admit it's hard to be single around the holidays.
Facebook, twitter, everywhere you look is consumed with happy relationship and people taking that extra step.
Sometimes I need to remind myself that even though it would be easy
to settle, you just can't allow yourself.

SO..
that's what's up with me.
I'll be heading to a Stella Dot Jewelry party,
(hopefully I won't go broke)
and then who knows what else my weekend holds for me.

XOXOXO

Currently.. I am.. {Borrowed}

HELLO ALL!! How is your Tuesday going!? Mine is as good as,
Starbucks when it's freezing out side.. Oh hello, like today!! :)
I borrowed this little number from the beautiful Keep Calm and Carry On because I SERIOUSLLLLLY had writers block today!!
Not to mention, my new goal is to blog as often and as much as possible!!!
So after you get done, go on and check hers out too!!

Reading: *a million emails from work. Being out all week is never fun, especially when you forget to set up your "Out of Office" and everyone thinks you are ignoring them!! *Buttttt, in my spare time I am seriously reading every trashy novel I can get my hands on.. (well that my Kindle can download) 50 shades as turned me into a monster. There is my confession for today as well!

Watching: Let me tell you, currently I am not only obsessed with the Voice (#teamBlake. #futureHubby) but I have really gotten into "Guys with Kids" It seriously makes me laugh and is such a nice break from the reality TV. Plus all my regulars (Greys Anatomy, Real Housewives of Atlanta (#teamCRAY), Jersey Shore..) I'm a little embarrassed now..

Thinking About: My devotional this morning. I bought this new app of Daily Devotionals for Women and I seriously, can't get enough!! It is the first thing I do in the morning, (even before social media, now) Here is just a snap shop from it. Hope it touches someone like it did me!!

Loving: My arm candy. Now here is the story, I would always see on Pinterest and Instagram everyone's amazing bracelets and I would want them so bad!! In the last couple of months tho, I finally got it how I wanted and have some flexibility with it. I really do love the new "stacking" thing though!! (FYI my stepmom told me that was the "thing" back when she was young, and now its  back) --->either way, me likeyyy!!

Looking Forward To: The weekend!!! (Yes, I'm aware it's only Tuesday) BUT it's my nephew's birthday celebration and you know his Auntie Meg has to always have the best gift!! We have a full day of laser tag, football game and maybe ice skating ahead!!! Seriously, love spending time with my family!! I am so blessed.. A little sad though, my boy is going to be 10 years old!! AHH.. Guessing I'm heading to Toy-r-US to buy some "Skylanders" (I've bought so many, they send me exclusive coupons for them..#bestauntie!)

Wondering: How many people read my blog!! I seriously love every text, email and comment I get though!! For the couple of months I barely blogged, I would always get the question why I had stopped. Time is scarce these days, and the out of all the positive feedback I have gotten, the negativity is there too!

Cooking/Baking: Umm.... I'm lacking, let's be honest. I am a single gal, it's very seldom I cook anything more than some grilled chicken and mash potatoes! Dinner consists of leftovers, turkey sandwiches or a lean cuisine. I like to think I'm enjoying not cooking now, so someday when I'm married I won't mind it as much!! haha! :)

Disliking: the cold weather. What happened to fall? I mean last week it's 70 degrees, this week it is in the low 40's. What in the world. I would love to not have to wear a jacket EVERYWHERE just yet.

Making Me Happy: my wonderful friends!! I seriously, have the best group of girls in my life. When I had my surgery, I had countless texts, cards and visitors. I had friends bringing stuff by my house and running errands for me. I am honestly at a point in my life when I would rather have 5 or 6 GREAT friends then a bunch of shady ones. I'm thankful for the good ones and saying goodbye to the bad ones. God has definitely shaken me till I got the message.

Wishing you and reminding you: Be thankful always!! It's so easy to focus on the stress, the busy schedule, the bills that are due or the boy that didn't call (or the husband getting on your nerves) but stop, take a second and remember what you do have!!

HAPPY TUESDAY FRIENDS!!
XOXOXO

God is Great. Beer is Good. People are Crazy

God is Great.

Beer is Good.

People are Crazy.

No, but really!
Flipping through Satelite Radio this song was playing
and it seriously explains my life right now.
Let me explain.

God is Great

Seriously. He IS!
When I sit back and think about it, it literally BLOWS my mind.
How he could sacrifice his son for us.
While knowing our hearts, our flaws
and how many times we would disappoint him.
He loves us more than I could ever imagine.
Living Christ-like is hard.
So many temptations and there are so many ways I fail him.
All I can say is he knows my heart, and I am forever grateful.

Beer is Good.

Yes, I do feel a little hypocritical writing about this one right after another,
but I didn't write the song, blame it on Billy.
Like I said, God knows my heart..
(but my mom is going to be disappointed still)
Side note:
Here is Billy, for all you Ladies viewing pleasure..

You're welcome.
my goodnessss!!!
(I might put that as my desktop picture.. but then I may not get any work done!!)
BACK ON TOPIC NOW...
Last week I had "minor" oral surgery.
Minor which turned MAJOR.
I literally was out of work all week.
Dying, and on Narcotics for pain. (prescribed of course :) )
Due to the medicine, I couldn't drink.
Now this girl is one who appreciates a glass bottle of wine after work
or a couple 5 beers with friends.
Now, I'll be honest, so I don't start getting emails telling me to go to AA.
The first 3 or 4 days while I felt so bad I didn't care.
Honestly, I didn't even think about it.
But over the weekend while I was on a smaller dosage of pain meds
and feeling like my self again, I MISSED IT.
I mean, eating Mexican food without at LEAST a beer?
*where do they do that at?*
NO WHERE.
Yes, maybe I slipped a couple. I won't lie.
But NOW,
I'm back!!!!!!!
I might have some beers after work.
I'll leave it up to your imagination!

People are Crazy.

Tell me if you disagree.
Nope, I didn't think so!
You want an example?
------>Here I am sitting in the Panera drive thru TODAY..
when I look behind me and there is a lady.
Bundled up in a coat.
Smoking a cig.
In the Rain.
While ordering.
Then proceeds, to walk slowly behind my car.
Yes, my friends she WALKED through the Panera drive thru.
I  couldn't decide if I wanted to ask her if she wanted to get in my car,
or tell her to get her priorities in line.
In reality, I did nothing.
I got my soup and salad and drove off
(but not before watching her pay, and the look on the girl's face)
#PeopleAreCrayyy

Well I gotta goooo!!
Hope you all survived Monday!!
I'm playing catch up..
and that's never fun!

XOXOXO

Dear God, Thank you for not giving up on me.
I know I have been in a constant struggle lately but I know you always have my back.

All I need

Dear Kelsey, Thank you for not leaving my side the last couple days while I've been sick. Now I know why they say dogs are mans best friends.

Dear iPhone, I don't know why there has to be this constant struggle between us. I'm really reconsidering this upgrade all the time.

Dear DMV, I have been there the last three days to renew my license.
Yes, the first time was my fault because I didn't know a gov't establishment was cash only..
But now you are working weird hours and today your system is down.
If I can't go out this weekend because of my license, we will fight.

Dear November, Take it easy on me.
PLEASE

Dear Molly, I'm glad you are going to be keeping my mom company,
but Kelsey and I aren't sure about another dog in the family.
I guess I'll tell her to be nice to you to though.
You are cute as a stinkin' button!!
Photo: Cole was SO surprised!

Dear Weekend, I am so glad you are here!!
I sure have missed you.
I'm just hoping I will feel like playing!!!

Dear Readers, Thank you!! :) YOU rock!!
Everyone go link
